Vishnu Procede 518whp dyno data

Took the car to the dyno today to see what kind of power we can squeeze out while keeping boost capped to 20psi. We have made a bit over 520whp before when running 21-22psi. But that's uncomfortably close to the MAP sensor and fuel system limit. So this means playing around with ignition advance to find the optimum efficiency. Which means making do with a limited amount of boost and fuel. Since we are traveling into uncharted waters, we played it safe and the car on race gas plus the usual 75/25 meth/water mix. I think we set the power record again, both Corrected and Uncorrected. And with considerable room to grow I think.

2007 335 6MT
80k miles
FBO
REV3 (7-29 Upgraded turbo maps)
PWM METH
ASR Turbos
Upgraded in-tank pump

19-20psi Boost

I ran the standard 7-29 6MT Maps for upgraded turbos with the following changes:

- Increase Proportional gain from default of .4 to 1.0 (to accommodate the upgraded wastegate actuators).

- Removed high rpm wastegate DC taper in Wastegate DC table.

- Added up to 2 deg of advance at high RPM (see ignition correction in datalog below).

And the end result was:
STD Corrected (Tuned vs Map0/valet)

ACTUAL/Uncorrected (Tuned vs Map0/valet):

Datalog:

AFR sensor on the Dynojet puked so I read from my portable LC1 and logged off the factory widebands. AFR on boost ranged from 12.5 to 11.6 depending on RPM. Which was right on target.

And it looks like the extra 2 deg of advance up top was worth around 7 whp:
No adv vs up to 2 deg of advance at high rpm

Very nice. I'm hoping we can squeeze 500whp out of 93 octane, meth, and bigger twins some day.

Just something that i've been testing for the last few months. Selling fuel system upgrades is a serious business so i really want to get 10k miles on the system before it goes up for sale. And realistically, it's only going to be useful for those with upgraded turbos.

Yep. I can't even imagine my car that is probably around 420whp, having another 100whp that does not fade in the high rpm's. Must feel amazing.

So the ASR turbos are good for approx. +60whp. Not bad

Now add another 50-60whp with an upgraded PAW or VAC head, lower compression to 9 and then really crank it up lol

Wouldn't that allow you to run more boost, therefore making fueling an even bigger problem? lol

At this power level, I doubt heads are going to be worth anything close to that since we are going to be brushing against turbine housing restriction well before that. If you want to make over 550whp, i think a big single will be the only option at this time. None of the stock frame turbo upgrades are going to do it.

At that point, you will probably need a standalone and secondary injectors, right?

Put that nos on it lower boost a bit and let's see that fuel pump take you above 543whp, current dyno queen record, only this time targeting solid 12 AFR starting down loooow

That is super impressive out of the I6. Nice work.

500rwhp on 93 is suicide. You need to reconsider an E85 conversion and that will take you into territories you have never seen before.

What's this? Tell us more?
