Problem MAY not be fixed, all depending on what happens @ the dealership tom. Worst case scenario, I may have to borrow

Thanks for the offer! I appreciate the tri-state effort to get me home

I know most of the people by name at Rallye.
Who did you speak with?

All you had to do was remove the JB3...that's what most dealers don't want to see.

Downpipes and intake, they can let you get away with, but tune is a biggy.
You should have also cleared your codes for the JB3 before you went in but that's done with.

They are not assholes at rallye so my guess is that they will call you back and tell you to remove a few things before they can work on your car. That's what they told me and a friend of mine.
Best of luck.

I hope all goes well for you. If you have any issues there I have some friends at Hassel which is maybe 10-15 min from Rallye.

I'm hoping to see that BMW NA will honor your warranty here in the states. I know for a fact that Mercedes Benz does not do so, as I worked on a few B-classes that came from Ontario that had faulty coil packs. Luckily they are the same as the ML320s here, but the customer had to pay out of pocket for the repairs because Benz NA does not recognize out of country warranties.

In the end we just had them pay for the part and we wrote off the labor as goodwill. If your car isn't covered here I hope that Rallye would extend you the same courtesy

Wow Matt, thats great service. When I first got on the phone with BMW USA, they had told me that my warranty wouldn't be honoured. I immediately called BMW Canada and they told me USA just dont recognize them, but if you call the escalation department, they would get everything sorted out. End result was that warranties with BMW's are good in both countries and its @ Rallye. If they ask me to remove my JB3, or worst case they cant help me out, would I be able to come see you for some emergency service? I need to get back home for work !!!

Question though, what software are they updating? When was your car last serviced?

This post is the reason why I am not considering slightly modding my car......Jesus this kid just lost a week or two of his life expectancy stressing!!!!! Not worth it at all especially if you have a warranty.....

O.
If everything was "fixed", hopefully they deleted all the codes from your ECU after they installed the new HPFP so this way, even if you had any JB3 codes, they might have also been deleted.

Hopefully the update goes just fine since they need to go through the ECU again.

I'm glad everything was fixed.
That's why I always go to Rallye even though it's 1hr away from me.

Thanks for all your support. Seriously, im gonna tear :'( !

Drove the car back to kings point where im staying at. Rallye was awesome, only crapper is that I see a dent on the hood that was never there. I figure its a small price to pay for what happened... im still forever greatful.

Sincerely,

O.

P.S. Anyone have matte black grills for an e92, brand new'ish preffered living close by? Id love to grab 'em
Even after all this, im still modding hehehehehehe
