Is there anything that can be done to stock turbos without upgrading them that would benefit the turbos before putting them in a car?

Nothing that would increase performance aside from clipping the exhaust wheel but without proper balancing I'd stay away from that as well.

I would do a basic turbo rebuild, new bearings, and rebalancing...If you are going through all that trouble in labor, you only want to do it once.

Would any shop be able to do the re balancing and new bearings? What should something like that cost theoretically and is it difficult?

my Local Turbo shop said it would cost about $600 for both turbos...considering I paid $150 for mine....$750 for a set of rebuilt turbos sounds good to me
