335xi vs srt8 challenger
My friend has dodge challenger srt8 392. He says he would smoke me in a race, all he has is an air intake. That car stock comes with 475hp and curb weight is 4200 i believe. i have a 2008 335xi coupe jb4, afe intake, ar dps and will soon be getting a fmic. so basically i will be FBO (map 5, 93 octane) when i race him. So my question is can my FBO 335xi beat his car from the dig and/or 30 roll

My Jag S-Type R would beat a stock SRT8 from a dig and my e92 blows the doors off my Jag. Unless he puts a supercharger on the car you won't have any issues with taking him in heads up quarter mile. But, I've seen SRT8's run low 11's with only a supercharger mod. So just an FYI, if you're ever out playing and you run across an SRT8 that has a wining sound, don't put money on your car because you'll probably get smoked.
+1 on the e85 |

Your car, even with AWD, is still lighter than a Challenger. Go from a dig to maximize your car's potential. Going from a roll and the low end torque of that V8 might present a problem.

With your mods you'll take him handily from a dig with both drivers being equal. From a 30 roll it will be much closer assuming same circumstances.

e85 is around 105 octane and the Ethanol cools the cylinder so you can run higher boost and more timing. 30% e85 mixed with premium is like premium and methanol injection. Go put 5 gals of e85 in your car, then top it off with premium. Drive for a mile before you reset your adaptation in map 5 and go play. Have fun because your car will pull harder than ever before.

My buddy's Chrysler 300 srt8 runs 12.9 consistently (bone stock) with street tires. What kind of times does a tuned n54xi run? Anybody know if the challenger is any faster/slower than the 300? Looking like it does, I would certainly hope that it is faster, but I've been surprised at the "speed" of several of these new American "muscle" cars.

the challenger SRT-8 is the heaviest of all the SRT-8's
any 335i with a tune and dp+intercooler should win

To really learn about JB4 and E85, you need to go to Terry's forum and start searching and learning:
http://www.n54tech.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=3 Here's a few things to find out: How old is your JB4 (are you on the 18 or 15 ohm board or G5 (doubt you have G5 if you're asking about E85)) Do you have the latest firmware downloaded (this will help take advantage of the E85 use) All cars respond differently. I would only start with a 30/70 E85/91or93 mix Now it takes more than just driving it around for an hour(as someone else suggested). What you need to do is several (I suggest 3-5) 3rd or 4th gear pulls. These are the gears that JB4 will start learning with. As you do these pulls, you should be logging and evaluating the log to see how you progress and how the car adapts. You will usually see the boost rise in each pull until it finds it's happy place If you have any problems, I suggest going back to terry's forum and checking out the support section. I would guarantee that any problems, if any, will have already been addressed by someone else on there. You can also send Terry the log and he will make suggestions. You should have no problem with a good tune and intake only.
