Rear right turn signal not working
All of sudden the blinker started to flash faster and I could see few of the led's in the back for the turn signal don't lid.
Checked all the connections, reseat all the cables, all looks nice and clean. The turn signal might work sometimes but most of the time doesn't. SOOOOO I bought new rear light enclosure and boom, same problem with the second which points me to believe it is not the light enclosure. I would appreciate any thoughts, suggestions. Thank you. |

Same xact thing happened to my right rear blinker and there must be a thread about it somewhere because my tech told me he's seen quite a few of these. It should be covered under warranty.

so far no luck, had to be the most annoying problems ever. it might be the footwell module which costs a lot of money and requires recoding. let me know if you figure out.

I can't find it after searching for some reason. Anyway, the solution is to replace both rear outer lights. Was under warranty with BMW (not sure if all markets).
There was faulty batch of LEDs apparently.

Interesting, is there specific way to find out what part numbers\date of manufacturing was faulty? I don't want to buy new set (expensive) and end up with the same problem.
Thank you. |

have you checked if any other blinker bulbs (front, side) are blown? i had the same problem (dead leds) with my LCI and had both tail lights replaced by my local dealer and that solved the problem.

No other bulbs blown (everything else works fine). I have leds at the front turn signal and all are lid plus the side light comes on fine. I am out of warranty and bmw dealer wants $400 plus for one but if I replace on my own I have to find out which batch was bad. or it might be another hit and miss, as the HPFP, waste gate rattle, water pump, audio, etc etc.
