subwoofer question
I am looking into getting a 12" 1000w kicker subwoofer. I just have one question that i never have really gotten a good answer on. Which is best to get 4 ohms or 2 ohms?

Dends on ur amp.. Most amps put out their potential wattage at 1 to 2ohms and some subs can take a 1ohm beating but usally at 2 ohms is at the max wattage/rms a sub can take .. To sum up id say if ur going for a 1 speaker set up id go for a 4 ohm becase if its a dual voice coil it can be wired to 2ohms

The 1243 are 600 rms (if its a type R) and any alpine mono amp(or other brand amp) thats about 400-600 rms will do .. And wiring and labor should be no more than 240$ max since a wire kit can run upwards to 150$ (depending on the gauge and brand)
