Alternative Glass Cleaner

I've always read the Stoner's Invisible Glass Cleaner is one of the best window cleaners available. I was also told by the guy who put my tints on that a cheap and just as effective alternative is using dish soap diluted with water.

Anyone else use this and vouche for his method? I was thinking of mixing some up in a spray bottle for when I wash my car this weekend.

I use the cheapest glass cleaner I can find. If you spray distilled water on the glass AFTER using cleaner and wipe it down with a lint free cloth, you'll never have streaks. I don't care what kind of glass cleaner you use, this method has always worked for me. On really bad windows (nicotine or what not), you may have to use the cleaner twice, but the water/wipe after is the ticket for streak-free windows. It works great on home decor mirrors too. I've been preaching this for years.

Perfect Glass ......... absolutely the best stuff I have ever used on ANY glass. Ammonia - free for use on the tint as well.

I have CG's window cleaner and Stoner's and both work very well. Stoner's is much cheaper and lasts longer. But I agree with Lowcruzr, use any kind of cleaner, wipe down with distilled water and results are just as good.

I use this one glass cleaner from SAMS club. You get three cans of it. Works better than Stoners hands down. I tried both and it can't be beat!

Was that tinting guy in Paterson? because that guy told me about it, and if it's someone else than there's a bigger chance there's some truth to it

Don't use newspapers on tint. And Stoners is under $4 at Walmart.

I just got some Zaino glass cleaner/polish and it rocks, can be applied by hand or machine - might not be the everyday solution, but is easy to use and make glass look like new!
