Owned 335i coupe for about 2 months, some strange things I've noticed
So I have had my 2008 335i coupe for about 2 months and most of the strange things I've noticed I have been able to find that most people experience these same issues. Below is my list of issues I have noticed that I have searched for and not found a definite answer:
1. When I hit my auto up on the windows and sunroof and turn off my engine while they are going, sometimes they stop and sometimes they go back down. I still have the key fob in the slot, this is just hitting the engine off button. 2. The insides of my windows are never clean. When I roll them down and back up I get a ton of streaks on them. 3. It looks like I have some negative camber on the rear wheels, is this normal? I also have the slight shaking of the car at idle sometimes, the passenger side of my car is slightly lower than the drivers side, brake squeak, and short keyfob distance. I have found threads about these ones on the site. All in all I love my 335i! Just trying to see if anyone else has noticed these things. |

Yeah, the sunroof is the culprit more times than the auto up windows when stopping the engine.

I get the window streaks. They seem to wipe off easily with a damp cloth.
I also notice the slight vibration at idle. It's a low pitch vibration which does resemble a soft shaking.

I should have added that my windows operate normally when I turn off the car. They pause, but then continue. Key fob works from pretty far away too.

Interesting...I've had my 335i Coupe for 4 1/2 years and never had any of those issues. Negative camber is normal for sport-suspension equipped cars.

I saw somewhere on here that the passenger side will sit a little lower with no one in the car - designed that way so that when there is someone in the driver's seat it will be level. I've noticed it on a couple cars so can't imagine that it is anything abnormal.
Negative camber normal. Hopefully you found my thread on the brake squeaking http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=354684 - 2 1/2 years later and it still hasn't returned

Have had my 335i for two weeks, and I also have the window streaks, however a micro fiber that I keep in the car removes them easily. As for my key fob, it seems to have a really good range, I locked mine from the other side of a parking garage. . .

Key fob functional distance is often affected by outside sources. I normally get a good 20ft or more. In some places I have to get right up to the car. Normally a radio frequency interference source like a Light or other source is nearby.

For me I have CA, & I always put the Key fob in my left pocket, and for some reason I can't open the trunk with my left hand, only with my right hand. Never tried it the other way yet tho..

The shaking at idle may be a sign it's time to walnut blast the intake valves, since they are probably caked up with carbon.

My 328i has the vibration at idle also, I don't know what's causing it. I thought it was my air filter so I changed it about 3 months ago and the car mellowed down on the vibration but after attending a cruise event last month I pushed my car hard and now the vibration is worse then before.
Negative camber in the rear is normal. |

Slight shaking of the car at idle is normal. Same thing on my car. I freaked at first, but all of them do that. If you actually sit in the passenger side and don't feel the steering wheel with the pedals, the shaking isn't there. It's just the awesome sensitivity of the car's feedback, really. Key fob distance is disappointing. My mom's Nissan reaches twice as far, almost. Not sure about other things you mentioned.

I haven't seen anything, but apparently there is a kit for sale. Luckily mine only do it on maybe a 1inch section of the drivers side window.
