Well, after my second tank full I achieved the best ever mpg covering 505 miles from a tank (light to light) giving me 44mpg. Normal driving style, same route, that's an increase of about 4mpg. Warmer weather might factor into it too of course.

I always used Shell V-Power in my Corrado G60 and my 320d but drove to fill her up yesterday and the only Shell garage in town is closed proppa poo poo

Guys so i swear by shell nitro but have any of you compared yr tail pipes after a full tank of this stuff compared to say BP? Shell burns quite dirty i find judging buy the state of the tail pipes so i try to run a tank or half tank of BP every 6 wks or so to try to clean things up. Could be pure rubbish on my part i know but thought i post and see what people think

Is the dirty tail pipe a result of the additional crud being burnt out of your engine by the Shell Nitro though ?
