Update Bluetooth or System Software
With the ability to code, can we update the bluetooth software / idrive system?
Are there files we can download to get the most recent updates? How do we determine which version is currently on our cars. |

Short answer - Generally, Yes, you have the software to do it (WinKFP).
Long answer - You need more equipment. In order to program/update software of the iDrive, you need a device capable for connecting to the MOST bus of the vehicle (the optical bus) like an OPS/OPPS or a ICOM. The bluetooth (TCU) and iDrive systems were not designed to be updated over the OBDII port of the vehicle. |
