Emblem overlay kits

OK, so I searched the forum and found several threads on alternate emblems...but none that I could find that really comment on the *quality* of the kits(besides a couple really negative posts on bimmian?). Anyway, my new 335i is space gray and I am tempted to mod all the roundels with one of those carbon fiber overlay kits...but am curious if anyone who did this can speak to whether they look good or cheesy and whether they hold up against the weather. THe set I am looking at is here:http://www.bavauto.com/shop.asp part HDC KIT.

Any thoughts or strong opinions? Thx.

I can't really comment on the quality of them but full replacement emblems look cleaner than overlays.

Just buy a set of those cf emblem from vendors in here. They're not that expensive.

I'd agree with just getting a new set of emblems. I went with the overlays and after a few months in the sun they faded so got a set of emblems. Much cleaner and they will last

Thx for the candid advice. I was thinking that might be the case. I found full replacement emblems on ebay so if do it, I will get those.

I won't lie... They're quite amazing. Every meet I went to people liked them and thought they were full emblem replacements. I tell them, nope just overlays.

The best part is, I've been washing, waxing, and it has been through hideous Michigan winters. They have been on for over half a year and still look new.
Props to **********s for giving me something cheap and strong.

I got my overlays from bmwshadowline.com, I think it was like $16 and they look great.

Very simple to install and it comes with replacements if you screw up. Also comes with an overlay for every emblem on the car.
