Cold start limp mode p312e ??

Hopped in my car to go home from work today and i got a half engine light under normal city driving conditions (max quarter throttle). Tried looking up the code my obd2 reader gave me and cant find anything on it :/... I had to shut the car on and off 2 or 3 times along the way home because it would keep going into limp. Once it warmed up it was perfectly fine, took it for a little highway pull and it seemed like everything was back to normal... any ideas ?

Could this be vanos related ?? I've noticed today that the car feels kind of hesitant / hiccups around 2800-3200 rpm under normal acceleration . WOT it pulls fine

cleared the code last night , went to work today and it did the same thing ! got two different codes today though ! p0306 p0206! most likely the injector im assuming ... changed the coil pack two months back and the plugs are only two weeks old !

maybe it has something to do with your plugs. Maybe not gapped right or maybe you got them in there to far since they dont require that much torque. If its never happened in the past and you just changed your plugs, I think that maybe have something to do with it.... just my 2cents

the car was running fine for 2 weeks since i changed the plugs ? this just started to happen now.

Why not just take it in?

Have the car scanned with INPA software. I've seen it provide descriptions for codes in instances where the BT tool cannot.

Hey guys just thought I'd finish this thread off incase someone has similar problems to me! Yesterday I bought a new injector before bmw parts closed for the holidays, today after xmas dinner I snuck into the garage without anyone noticing and replaced the injector on cylinder 6 and the car is running beautiful again ! haven't got the injector coded in yet but it's running fine, going to code it when I get a chance !
