Hahaha that's my buddy who drives an Sti i'll let him know you said that he'll like it. He raced in the skip barber summer series last year and is doing the same this year and is an amazing driver. His STi is stage 2 and pretty quick.

Install isn't that hard I made it much harder than it had to be. Most things bolted right up with the new brake ducts, fender liners, etc... I couldn't figure out the underbody adapter though so i'm just bringing it with me to the shop and letting them figure out how to do it. I just left the pan resting above the bumper for now since its secure on the sides. If you do it i'd get the adapters for the fogs from modmy3 and not do the ones through BMW. It did not end well at all...

Here's the rear which we finished today. Hardest part of rear is taking off the stock bumper then putting the new one on is really easy and it just fits on. Anyways onto the pics of the rear. I'll do a proper photoshoot whenever I get a chance to wash it although I don't think you're supposed to do that to new paint for a while... I'm gonna PM you later about that though.

Question do you need to buy any brackets for the rear bumper or it just lines up???

If you have a pre-LCI car, there are different brackets that bolt to the side for the LCI M-Tech bumper.

I may get flamed for this - it's an old thread. Best thread I could find - but still have questions.

I have a new Msport bumper coming for my 2011 LCI base. (Whacked an owl on highway). I know I need the brake ducts, fogs, bumper grills, is that it? No inner fender or adapators?

Sorry - maybe I've confused myself reading all these threads.

So OEM liners as in your stock ones? All you had to buy was the under tray adapter and fog light adapters?

I have a 2009 base and I'm doing m-sport front and rears by end of this month and I ordered the front half wheel liners and brake ducts (m-sport specific) Will let you know how it goes. From what I have been reading that's what's absolutely neccessary.

Thanks a million, Gruesom3. I'll do a write-up on mine too. I'll proceed with the inner fender.

I needed lower grills, fogs, black upper grills, and all that stuff. All and all, it came to about $700 bucks without the bumper. I just wanted to be sure before I spend the money.

Just got them installed fitment was good ended up shaving the reflectors.

The only parts I changed were the front inner shields and brake ducts. The front bumper had to be drilled for the engine cover to connect to.

Some cell pics still have snow tires on.

Where did you buy your bumper from?

And were the inner shields absolutely needed? I heard you don't need to change them and that just trimming the brake ducts is all that is required.

I got the bumpers from
Tunerstock. To be honest I don't know if you can get away with not replacing those pieces as I haven't done the swap myself. While I was on vacation I dropped it off and came back and picked it up to avoid downtime. They were only like 200$ from fcp euro so I figured worst case scenario return them, and I wanted as close as possible to be OEM

Honestly, you can get away with using your old inner fender liners by drilling new holes so that they line up with the new bumper but you'll have to delete your air ducts.

I was told people can just trim the air ducts and they work.

Yes that should work. When I bought mine however fcp euro had better prices so I ordered from them (ducts and wheel liners) about 200$ if I remember correctly

My bumper also came with the hardware if you want to convert it to pdc ( a bunch of clips that hold the sensors that you have to drill bumper and glue them from inside) and I have no washers as my car is a base 328 rwd

I still have my original liners and brake ducts somewhere if you want to attempt to modify them to fit without ruining your set. I will let them go cheap. Let me know
