Nasty could be turbo

Had a slight smell of fumes in the car on the odd occasion so just got in and whipped the bonnet up. Seems like there is gases coming from the turbo where the actuator links presumably to do with boost control. So looks like there may be some problems if any one could enlighten me with simular experiences. I have full BMW extended warranty, so will call in tomorrow see if they can take a look.

Dpf is right next to the turbo I think

That can smell from time to time and get very hot

I get a a burning/fume smell from time to time, it was that bad a few weeks ago I actually stopped to check the car over, I really should get it checked out.

No this is not burning it's diesel fumes

i had this and it was the fuel injector but i was a month out of warranty and got slapped with a bill of £785.
on the plus side only one had gone or could of really stung me as if that wasnt dear enough.
