You will get a sound change, but in terms of performance...it wont be a whole lot. You need to delete cats or at least go high flow cats. Bigger piping from the turbo all the way to the tips and cat deletion and or high flow cats are the only "noticeable" gains that will be achieved with an exhaust modification.

No, they are fine. You must delete cats or get high flow cats if you retain the stock pipes in order to see any noticeable gain. These remus tips are only mufflers(sound and look only). If you get catless downpipes and delete secondary cats and get the remus tips you will be good until about 500-600whp or so. Backpressure become an issue then. More hp the wider the pipes need to be.

I wouldnt zip tie anything in the exhaust, as it would probably melt. I dont know much about the electronic valve because I got rid of it a long time ago. Exhaust was my first mod. I know its meant keeping exhaust decibles down during startup, are you talking about the golf tee mod?

yes because as aftermarket mufflers dont have it so how you did when u installed your exhaust where you hide that tube that goes into a rear left exhaust (stock) i also saw that even aftermarket exhaust has that valve http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...hlight=exhaust wonder why its still necessary

check attachment (red arrow in section 3)

also another picture (check pink color and CIRCLE in GREEN) its some kind of resonator?

It looks like the x-pipe is used to soften vibration noises from the stock exhaust. It performs LIKE a resonator but it is not one. Its just reinforcement for the pipes at the mid-point. The longer the pipe without reinforcement like that the more vibration you will get. I dont know much about the valve, I dont think it is needed. I have been without one for 20k+ miles with no issues. I think its mainly for noise restriction on startup and when you arent WOT. The stock one opens during WOT

You asked for it, so here it is. TURN IT UP!

And here's some pictures of my custom muffler delete done by me, I can swap in magnaflow mufflers any time in about 5 min.

does the straight pipe that you added go inside or outside of the muffler? And how about on the other side does it go inside or outside or does this not matter?

There is no mufflers, I'm not really understanding your question.
