How civilised, I do hope it was Darjeeling & you offered Rich tea bicuits
(edited after Carlos mullered his original post)

Carlos,"calm down,it's only the Police".

I doubt they could prosecute,it's their (the accuser) word against your yours
Let's face it, any one could accuse someone of dangerous driving just for the hell of it.

The (Police) are just trying to frighten you into using less smilies!

I personally would not worry about it, but then again I've not witnessed your driving!

Carlos, take this as a warning, most people don't get that luxury and just get a ticket. I wouldn't worry about being prosecuted, as HC has said your word against his. Unless of course it was a full 15 seat minibus!

They probably drive a 'normal' car and there understanding of a safe gap to overtake is different to that of the dxb. Just forget it and drive normally as the more it winds you up the more likely your driving concentration will suffer.

Your repeated re-counting of X mph (*) back road blasts, "you guys must drive like grannies" and "I drive everywhere flat out with no regard to economy" hardly paints you in a favourable light, Carlos.

Maybe you did drive a bit like an arse, or with scant regard to another road user ? Maybe it wasn't a case of this so called "jealousy" you seem to be subjected to ALL the time ?

It is not the first time you've posted about an annoyed road user that took umbrage to your driving.

No smoke without fire.

Just suggesting. Not accusing.

D.

(*) Edited at someones request.

The highway code states you must be able to see a plate from xxx distance.

Page 42, paragraph b, also states you musn't drive like a knobhead

Page 409 says you mustn't whine like a girl when bollocked by cozzers

Hello Carlos - just back from Halifax & read the above.

Just do what I do if I get pulled. Smile sweetly and pull up your skirt, this of course works even better if you've no knickers on If that fails.......last resort I'm afraid..............offer a BJ

Incidently came up behind an '07 Audi TT on the M62. He put his foot down, so I obliged. Speed increases & fair play to him he went upto double the speed limit - then either ran out of steam or thought that's enough. Point of all this is, I was pleasantly surprised that I could just keep accelerating After that Audi man pulled into the slow lane (shame isn't it).

However, I very much doubt any offer of sexual gratuity would get you out of that one. Come to think of it, somebody could have reported me & the Audi driver! Oh who cares - not me. Did the engine a favour anyhow.

If coppers had come and knocked on my door, I wouldn't be ranting about the other tosser, I'd be shit scared. Maybe that's because I'm nearly 40 and drive a shit slow car.

Ask them for the details of the "offence", out of interest in improving your driving. A dangerous overtake? How so?. Did you cut him up, cause him to brake, cause an approaching vehicle to slow down, brake or swerve? You get my drift, I think there are only certain things in the Highway Code that mean an overtake can be classified as dangerous, you should've asked them to point out precisely which one you were accused of.

Although, that would perhaps made you come across as an arrogant little tosser in a psh car, so you need to excercise caution.

And on that note, get the chip off your shoulder, I mean you are a young guy in a nice car - the copper probably paid some interest in the accusation because of that - to pop round and check it wasn't TWOC'd. You should be grateful :tongueincheek:

And another thing, young man , an advanced driver would be ashamed of getting their collar felt, they work on the principle that if you have an incident, you're at fault. I would recommend that you (or anyone) gets some advanced driver training, even just a "drive alive" type course, or taster. That'll show you what I mean, and while I read all this stuff about your racing career, it does NOT make you a good road driver. A bit of advanced training would probably make you faster on the road (overall, A to B) and safer, and, if you are a driver you'll enjoy the course, and it lets you enjoy your driving even more.

Hi Phil, i was following another vehicle, a car pulled from a side exit and made the car in front do an emergency brake, as i had to also behind him. Once the accuseee was on our road now, he proceeded to accelerate very slowly, i pulled out and overtook both, still not hitting more than 50mph in a 60 zone as we were nearly at a standstill, didnt cut up anyone, didnt get flashed by anyone... drove off didnt think anything of it, with mr chappy behind me

Yes - it's fully run in. As far as Audi man knew it was an E92 coming up the rear. If I had simply floored it & overtaken him, chances are he just wouldn't have bothered after seeing my large rear end! I lulled him into thinking that he had a chance of leaving me. Think that's part of the reason he pulled over, and maybe his obviously bottle blonde girlfriend (me-ow) told him to slow down. Lets just say it was double the limit + 10ish.

Knew the coppers came to you - point was if someone reported me possible similar scenario - not.

Glad PC (computer) is in room with a telly, rugby starts soon.
