Muffler Delete Questions

I have done my research and I have seen some vids on youtube BUT i need some help here, people that have done it I only have one question did you like the sound and will the pipes rattle?

-For those of you who do not like to do that mod DO NOT talk shit or ask why I want to make it loud ive done it on my benz and my audi (well the audi had a straight pipe custom exhaust) and it sounded good!

Cutting stock muffler = no good. But it will be louder.

Go to the NA tuning section. The 335 and 328 sound very different w/o mufflers.

yeah, I was planning to go this route too. I personally think it sounds really good and it is loud. There is drone but it is bearable. Actually I like the drone because it makes the car seem louder in the inside rofl. But anyways do it.

How about aftermarket downpipes as an alternative?

It drones way too much, on a long drive it will give you a headache.

but for a cheap starter mod, go for it. You can always step up to something better once the MD wears on you for a bit

330i

I did it on my 330i. Went straight pipe with dual tip. Muffler weighs like 50 pounds (sitting in my backyard) . I like the sound as do my friends and anyone who stops and ask me what I modified, Which was just the exhaust. In tunnels is the best LOUD

Thoooo

I wouldn't recommend it on a 335 . Different engine for the turbos. Sounds wackk unless you flash your ecu and get rid of the silencer hose trying to suck air making it sound like your peeling out .

thank you for all the feedback I am definitely going to do it, BUT do i have to delete the resonator and replace it with an xpipe or straight pipe? or I can just delete the mufflers and be done with it?
