Sold my coupe :(

Well my fellow Canadians...I have had enough of the Edmonton winters and have sold the 328i coupe for a 2011 is 350 AWD. Sure was fun having the coupe but picking up/dropping off my son in a 2 door coupe was getting tiresome. Sure will miss the handling and fun factor of a manual bmw coupe but having a family means restructuring priorities...in the form of an automatic transmission, AWD with a safe and comfortable interior and the affordability!

See you around fellas.

I drive my 4 year old around all time time and don't have any issues with a 6 speed. I admit that if I was in a coupe, it would be a bit of a pain the ass, but the type of transmission is irreleveant.

i came from an is350. Great car, with a really small backseat. easier for loading a child than a two door for sure. Not much room for them to stretch though.

Can you elaborate on what you mean by saving money? I would have thought an is350 awd would be more $$.

I'm still here! Back in 2007 I paid just under 49 grand for a sport and premium packaged 328i coupe. For 2011 Lexus dropped the prices of their IS series 2 grand from the 2010 models. Here's the kicker, I was about to pick up a 2010 IS 250 AWD with leather and sunroof, msrp is 44,250 with those options. While a 2011 IS 350 AWD base goes for 44,950 because of the 2 grand decrease! The base AWD 350 comes with leather but no sunroof. All I needed was leather due to having a dog and obviously the easy clean up and I don't mind not having a sunroof because I barely used it on my coupe.

So for just a few hundred dollars more I still get the safety of AWD but also the extra 100 hp that comes with the 350! They didn't have any on the lots so I have to wait up to 2 weeks for one to arrive. Normally, Lexus wouldn't take money off msrp...esp since they have to pay for a dealer transfer, it's a brand new model etc, but I am good friends with a guy that does work for the owner, the gm's and some of the sales guys so he put in a word for me.
