FRAUDSTER warning

Just read this thread on the Z4 forum and thought i'd post it up here in the hope that it may prevent anyone else getting ripped off.

First few posts and last page will probably give most the gist of it.

Fantastic read. And a real shame about those poor buggers in the last few posts.

Is never buy a car from Ilford EVER. Ilford is one of those places you just don't buy cars.

Shit Carl, you're in trouble. It looks like you've upset the locals.

If you know the area then I do not need explain.

No offence though. I'm sure there are of course nice areas and credible cars for sale.

I sold one of my car in Ilford.

But I must say that I had real difficulty in selling it. Nobody wanted to buy it except locals. There were few pricks who wasted my time and after test driving my car, they offered silly price for the car.

Total time wasters.

Well I agree with you on this comment. In all honesty, I'd not buy any car from east London. And no offence to anybody!

I have no sympathy for the people conned out of money. It's their own fault for being just plain stupid. If something looks too good to be it invariably is. Anyone who ends up parting with money in such circumstances needs a kick in the head.

A bit harsh, but the people should know better.

Everyone questions "is it too good to be true" and knowing it is, they still go ahead.

Not good to see the people lose out though.

I actually have not read it apart from the last page which mentioned Ilford.

They handed over cash for a car that didn't exist?

It may well be harsh, but it's idiots like these that encourage the proliferation of the fraudsters. If people weren't so fishing thick they'd all go away.

It annoys me that so many fraudulent or misleading adverts successfully get listed on Autotrader; and they do fish all to stop it.
