Question HPFP vs. Audi's direct injection system

I know Audi's RS4 has had its own problems, but does it use a high pressure fuel pump in it? If so, have they seen the same pump failures we have? Maybe there's something to learn there.

I have not heard anything about their HPFPs failing.

Actually, I believe that almost the entire Audi/VW US line is now direct injected. At least the 2.0 and 4.2 are for sure and I assume must have a high pressure pump as well...

Companies like APR have already come out with big turbo kits for the 2.0 and it includes a new high pressure fuel pump...They get ~375hp from a 2.0.

Hmmm, maybe the A5 is back on the table if this turbo kit is an option

Here is a link to their upgraded FSI fuel pump, maybe we should send them some of our failed pumps and have them tell us why they suck so bad...

Oh wow, 1100 bucks. This will be required at some point for us as well, really with people putting down over 400 RWHP (and with so much low-mid TQ) I wonder what our stock pump is capable of anyway...

Speaking of Audi, the only car they sell that really interests me is the R8, lol, of course I can no where nearly afford to buy it!

Yes, they do. The fuel does not pressurize itself
