is my car pre LCI or LCI???
As the title says really, i had a SG 335i i sold, i remember the taillights looking pre LCI, i.e. without the group of lines across the back, however my new SG 335i 2007 seems to have the LCI taillights?
But doesn't have the front bumper? Bit strange really but can someone say weather its LCI or pre LCI please? Also, maybe its the camera angle, but the nose looks quite high up from the floor. but sits fine with the front wheel height against the rim? Regardless, i love the SG colour, can't wait to black it out with some kidneys, and some VMR 710's Guy has already got JB4 G5 on it and BMS DCI, so I've got a mod head start. Thanks |

The picture you provided is pre-LCI. The tail lights are LCI tail lights, but the head lights are pre-LCI. So, pre LCI.

Those look like LCI tails, but pre-LCI mirrors. I don't know my Euro headlights well enough to say what those are. Looks like a M-sport front bumper and side skirts too. Nice looking car, in any case... I'm indifferent on the taillights but prefer pre-LCI in the USA because of the red directionals on USA LCI tails (not an issue for you.) I strongly prefer the pre-LCI mirrors even though the LCI ones likely work better, the earlier ones are much prettier!

Yeah i thought so, I guess LCI tails are just LED and brighter is that correct?
I wonder how that happened, must have been changed, he would have said so I guess, ive spoken to the guy quite a bit about the car. Anyway, LCI tail lights are much nicer IMO, i had a 07 335 as i mentioned before, and the tails where pre LCI, but i cant complain. He has put m tech 2011 v3 7000k angel eye upgrades in which is nice, looks like the new bmw all white heads which im very fond of, didnt like the 4300k very much at all. |

Slightly off topic, but why do you US guys seem to always buy e90 saloons, or sedans as you say?
The e90 taillights and headlights, and body in general are dicusting, its so bulky and chodeish lol, the e92 is a million fold better dont you think? And a 4 door 335i, i would never get that, so what people have jump in the back, looks much nicer? |

The 3 series sedan is often referred to as the "gold standard" for a well handling production car that a guy with a small family can convince his wife is a "practical" kid hauler. The LCI refresh for the 2009 sedan created a classic look that will last well past the current F30. imho |

I saw a 335i Estate/Touring, with all the roof bars n what not... why just why would you waste a lovely N54 twin turbo engine on a estate car... These things are a lot of money, if i wanted to haul the family around, i would get a cheaper car, save my money and get a new 335i coupe for the fun days out. Combining them seems weird to me. Then again, i think sedans in general are ugly, even MB's saloons, bar the new 2011 E350 CD1, there very nice. The only saloon that otherwise I think is nice is the new A7, there a nice spacious version of the A5 with more doors. Dont think BMW did the right thing with the 335i sedan imo. Rant over hehe |

My "compromise" was to sneak an S2000 in the garage alongside the sedan to scratch my fun driving itches. |

I have three kids. While I don't ride them very much that way. It has been useful to have the extra seat when the other car is in the shop. |
