That pretty much sums up the tuning bug. I thought just a JB4 would do and in 12 mths I've done down pipes, uprated brakes, methanol injection and charge pipe (which I told myself I'd never do), NGK plugs, angel lights, braided brake lines, intercooler. Plus other bits and bobs.

Well I don't know about you but my car will drive 80 to 90% of the time well below peak boost and thus peak torque levels. In fact most town driving never goes above 3 to 4 psi on my 335i (peak stock boost level being 8 psi). So a tuned car can spend a lot of it's time in very safe levels. Of course I expect the above stock levels to wear components out more quickly.
