2011 335i HELP! Watch Video Please!
I bought a 2011 CPO 335i last week. I love the car. My only issue is that every time the RPMS drop to 1,000 I get a sudden 300 RPM jump. This is very annoying when I am slowing down to a stoplight because I can feel the car jump when I am trying to break. Is this normal? Please watch video and let me know your thoughts.

I might be wrong, but it looks like your tranny downshifting as you slow down.
Our cars do that to conserve brake and when going downhill, they will not upshift. You may not be feeling the tranny downshift ..... Cause it is tooo damn smooth.....lol Just a thought. DN |

Revs are low so automatic would tend to change down, I would think if the gearbox was in sport mode it would generally opt for a lower gear and ideally keep the revs up a bit. So I would try that and see how it behaves under the same conditions. Some years ago I had a 320d automatic of the same year model as a loaner, and I remember it tended to shift up very quickly and at lower revs than I would if driving a manual, especially when the engine is cold - lugging is something I try to avoid on a cold engine. So I found that putting it in sport mode kept the revs up a bit and made the engine feel more comfortable and at ease - sport mode off when you just want to cruise. I would think that the general behaviour should be much the same with the 335i. Generally prefer manual cars, but I really enjoyed driving that thing, was smooth, eager, and of course very economical!
