MIR Track Rental Fri 2/18/11
Calendar: USA - Mid-Atlantic
Blackbenzz
Second Lieutenant

The tracks start to open back up the end of Feb and early March around here and people have been asking me to do another track rental before the weather starts to warm up. We are targeting Friday Feb. 18th Same hours 9am-5pm and we will split lanes again so if you have drag radials or slicks bring them! 1 lane drag radial/slick and 1 lane street tires. If you have drag radials or slicks you can run either lane. This is done to preserve the track prep in one lane since street tires tear up all the VHT. Price will be $100/car as usual and same hours 9am-5pm. Gates open at 8:30AM. Lets hope for some good weather!

Yes David, we stayed until 4 and were entertained the whole time. The other M5 belongs to Mousab and is highly modified and loud as hell. He just flat out abused his tires in attempt to warm them and then spun for hundreds of feet on several passes. His ET's never got below 12.5 from what I saw but his trap speeds of nearly 119 were terrific. Not sure if he kept running after I left as the "community helmet" left with me.

Hope you can make it down next time. Good meeting you!

i had a lot of fun that day, and it was my first time i really opened up my M5. I frequent these forums a lot, but keep me posted on any upcoming events at MIR !

hopefully the next one will be on a Saturday/Sunday. I had to leave to take care of some work related stuff and then meet my fiance to take her to the hospital for problems shes been having

i had a great time even though i was fighting with my new set up to get off the line but my best of the day and my only good run of the day was a 12.4@110 with a 1.72 60ft

This was done with 17 psi and a new fmic...

This was last november at the last rental 12.3@ 111 1.75 60 ft with 19psi upping the boost to 25 psi once i get the rear diff fixed after i broke it just after the 60 ft...

those jeeps were ridding and i think i lined up with that c63 about 3-4 times but i could not get off the line for shit with him.... Good runs as your car is hauling ass!!!

great meeting everyone again! i think i found my problem on why i was trapping so low. I think it might be my sticky solenoids. i finally did a trap of 108.5 near days end.
