ETS 5" is probably the most popular no cutting option.

My ETS 5" intercooler was the easiest and most reliable mod I have done to my car. I highly recommend it.

ETS is the go to for Competitive Pricing, Quality, Easy Install, and Performance.

I've been looking at the ETS 5" for some time now. It's $801 shipped to my door from ETS.

Pretty sure I'm going to go with the VRSF with new cast ends for $429 shipped.

Comparing all the logs I could find, they both seem adequate.

I decided it was worth it to do some bumper trimming, and put the savings toward some BMS downpipes for roughly the same cost as just the ETS IC.

That'll open the Cobb Stage 2+ and E30 maps.

Both Jeff and I sell the ETS FMIC for substantially less then that so the difference is not that great but the VRSF is definitely cheaper. Can't argue that.

VRSF, AMS, HPF, Helix, ETS, ER, Agency Power, Forge, Stett are all popular "plug and play" intercoolers. However, the larger options like VRSF, HPF, AMS(maybe) and ER require trimming of your bumper.; As well as the ETS 7".

The only plug and play no trimming options I know of are the ETS 5" and I think the Helix is claimed to be no trimming too. There is also Cobb's new intercooler but I have not heard how the install has gone on it yet.

Some of the ebay intercoolers like CX Racing require trimming. (Those even require custom fabrication, and other parts to be purchased to make it work depending on where you purchase them from).

As Mike Mentioned we do have an array of options and excellent pricing structure (better then the manufacturers) for the most popular brands.

The VRSF FMIC is estimated to ship in the next week or so.

I got nothing against the VRSF Intercooler, we sell it, it does what it does for a good price. But if price is so important you could have a got Kia for under 10,000 New

I'm just playing though. For that price point I would recommend the VRSF over other options priced similarly on Ebay.

Question for you I saw asked in another thread, but no real answer. Do dealerships freak out on FMICs or do they care?

Thanks,
Peter

We have a 5" VRSF option coming in on the 12th as well. No trimming required, same install as the ETS

ETS makes great intercoolers and I'm a big fan of their fin pack and to be completely honest, if our intercooler wasn't available I'd recommend theirs above the other available options.

Some people confuse inexpensive with cheap. Cheap usually involves a poorly engineered/non-tested fin pack & end tank design which a lot of the ebay and even some vendors on here offer and while they may better than oem, it's still robbing you of potential power and putting your motor at risk.

Then there's the occasional well engineered inexpensive option which gets you an increase of performance & quality without sacrificing safety, all while avoiding the tax.

VRSF website will probably help you with pricing but both 5" & 7" will be under $500 shipped.
