2010 E92 325i - When I bought it a month ago it was averaging 27mpg :O

I did a reset followed by an 800 mile round trip up and down the country. Managed to get in everything from motorways, country roads (lots of fun), villages, cities and the god forsaken traffic jam... which I figure is a pretty fair test.

Open road it was averaging anywhere from 45 - 60mpg until the traffic jams ruined it but all in it's 39.7mpg now which I think is a fair representation.

I know... I was like but yeah like I say though when it's a combination of driving styles the average is correct so the top end 60mpg must be possible, but that was only when sitting doing 55-60mpg in cruise control through average speed check zones...

330d, Manual, LCI... I managed 65 MPG on a 30 mile stretch to work this morning... not re-mapped yet but am hoping it'll be a little bit better when it is. You've gotta love being able to do 40mph in 6th gear at 1,000 rpm.... This is my first 3 litre BMW and I won't be going back to 2.0 again.

I've only had my 2006 ( 56 plate ) 330 d m sport manual a month its got 100k on the clock, standard engine apart from swirl flaps removed and inlet de-choked a few thousand miles ago, so far its ( using fuelly app ) done 1st fill 39mpg 2nd fill 37mpg.

I had a LCI 520 D m sport before this and that was remapped ( it was the 163 bhp model ) and that averaged around 38/39 mpg, so if the 330 stays around that i'll be happy.......my daily drive is none traffic as I work shifts earlys and nights and its a mix of 40% motorways 60% normal roads 30 mile round trip each day..

Im guessing that its going to drop to around 34/35 over winter thou, hoping to go down the E-maps route next spring which should be nice...

Had my 335D five days now (ish) and still in love. MPG is surprisingly good, MPG figures never seem to add up to me I much prefer doing Refill cost/Miles per tank.

Driving every day I'm getting about 38mpg but reset the mpg clock on my run too work twice now (10 miles country driving, 10 miles motorway, 10 miles town) and its returning 42-44mpg on the clock which I'm more than happy with.

The funny thing is my Audi A3 2.0 TDI (188bhp remap) constantly said it was getting 40-60mpg mostly 50+ but for £65 I could only get 350-400 miles. Now I've put £65 of diesel in the 335D and even though the clock says I'm only getting about 35-45mpg I'm getting between 400-500 miles to a tank which is way better than the audi was doing and by all accounts I don't drive gently. This tank was £65 fill up from the fuel light to full and so far I'm on 290 miles and I've only just crossed half a tank. Reckon I'll easily get 450 miles out of it and its included a good few 120+ mph blasts while having fun in the car plus a fair amount of reasonably hard country driving.

Really astounded by how good the mpg is from a 350bhp 500ftlb car. My car is superchips remapped though, so I'm aware that tends to add a few more to the gallon.

I'm averaging 40mpg town driving and up to 60mpg cruise set at 70 on the motorway. Car is an auto, so that's pretty good I think. 320d M Sport - DTUKt box - Map 2 / setting 2 (20%)

Just completed a trip from Scotland to Finland, car is a 335d 2007. Just had a remap done, (bmchiptune)

From Kilwinning, Ayrshire to Newcastle, then off the ferry at Ijmuiden, I travelled to Bremen I covered 452 miles using 46.89 litres of diesel @43.82mpg, probably averaged around 75-80mph
From Bremen to Odense, 265 miles using 26.33 litres of diesel @ 45.75mpg averaged around 85-90, with the odd blast up to 141mph, gps logged
From Odense to Stockholm and over into Finland it was 578miles using 56.56 litres of diesel @ 46.46mpg. Probably averaged 75mph

These figures are from fill up to fill up, OBC was reading just under 45mpg when I got here.
hope it helps

I put my summer tyres on yesterday, and the average MPG, for the 5 months I had winters on, is showing 37.6. I have never had it that high - normally 35-36 in the winter, 33-34 summer... Not bad for an 8 year old 3 litre petrol auto estate car! (2007 N53)

Well, my 320D officially sucks then. Best I've had was 40mpg with mostly extra-urban driving (no more than 75mph) in the summer on 16" wheels with B rated rolling resistance tyres.

Anyone have any ideas what might cause low highway mpg? Never seen anything higher than 50mpg while cruising at ~50mpg and ~43mpg at 70-75mph.

Engine/transmission oil changed, every filter replaced, new glow plugs, new thermostats, new MAF. No fault codes apart from DDE 46d3 and no one seems to know what exactly it is doing to the car, apart it being an ECU hardware issue (reflash does not fix it).

2006 E90 BMW 330i M Sport

60,000 on the clock.

I have been using Fuelly to map my fuel economy over the last 21,000 on every fill up.

My usual driving is combined of around central London and commuting to Bracknell 3 days week.

We also did a 2000 roadtrip around Europe and the odd few trips to Belgium last year too.

My overall average MPG is 26.4
