Help coding alarm retrofit

I need some help trying to code an alarm retrofit on an '08 335xi w/ iDrive and nav. I am relatively new to coding. About a year ago I bought my cable and setup my system and coded up a couple of things like digital speedo, close windows with FOB, etc. That was my only experience.

For the alarm I did some research and installed the alarm components (clown nose and ultrasonic sensor work) and I coded up the VO's $302 and +K302 and wrote to the CAS and NFRM modules, but I can tell no difference and not seeing anything new in iDrive or on the stalk menus. I hear some people talking about then writing with a blank .man file... Not sure what that really means and if doing so will wipe out the other things I have coded already. I would greatly appreciate the help!

FYI- If not too much more trouble I would also like to code up the auto folding mirrors.

**Update**
I was skipping the most crucial steps of the process "process car" and "code car". When I saw those mentioned in a post, I went and tried to do those, and when it goes through the various modules, it errors out on the second one, TCIU (I believe was the name). I get an error and here is the contents of my Error.log file:

Take a look at this for alarm retrofits:

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=504338

And don't listen to people when they tell you to code with a blank .MAN file; that is not the correct way to reset a module. Instead you should code the module using the ExpertMode profile.

You still don't have connection. Wrong configuration.

Thanks Merlosso. Was hoping to be able to just add the VO(s) and that would set all those values for me. I am in ExpertMode and I agree 100% about not using blank .man files.

******, Any ideas how to correct? It codes/processes the KOMBI module fine and INPA works fine. I even ran through its alarm tests and I can turn the clown nose on and off in its test...

You should double check your sp-daten files, are these updated?

Which directory would that be? I am looking in C:\NCSEXPER\DATEN\E89 and the newest files in that directory are 1/19/2010...
