Hi All - I might start looking into creating a new product for the reverser bulbs. A few members have approached me and with a bit of testing I think i might be able to get a super bright solution.

Thanks! with doing a few calculations i figure the stock bulb is producing around 200 lumen. Without any testing, I am guessing I can make a reverse bulb that produces 650-700 lumen, maybe even more.

According to to Sylvania Bulb Replacement guide [http://www.sylvania.com/ConsumerProd...lacementGuide] it is a H21W bulb (more specifically, a 64136). I can't tell you what the applicable replacement bulb is though, sorry.

Actually, I just walked back in from installing them, and here, ladies and gentlemen, is the verdict.
FITMENT: YES, THE 9 LED BULB FITS! And (this may only apply to the e90 LCI, but I don't see why it wouldn't apply to the rest of the e9x LCI linup) you could probably go bigger with the bulb. SIZING: I would guesstimate there is another half to three quarters of an inch of space from the top of the LED bulb now and the front of the reverse housing. In addition, the bulb could be wider too, possibly enough room for 3 LEDs on the front, [arranged in a staggered 2+1 setup], with 3 or even 4 leds going down the side. But let me tell you, the 9 LED is bright! It's brighter than the outgoing halogen for sure. It's still light out, but I'm going out tonight, so I'll take pictures later. INSTALL: It took me about 45 minutes, with about 38 of those figuring out how the h**l to get those stupid button things off. I found the perfect tool. it's a pair of pliers, but it's not quite a normal pair of pliers. it's more stubby, and it's meant for pulling out nails or something like that. I'll attach a picture of that too. OTHER TIPS: With the E90 LCI reverse housing (OK picture this in your mind), the top part of it (that is, the part facing/closest to the decklid) Has a large cutout hole in it; so for those with the 5 LED bulbs complaining about the brightness, maybe you can try cutting a small piece of 3M reflective tape and putting it there? I'm going to try that and take pictures of that and see if there is (if any) difference. OVERALL: YES, get these bulbs! Fantastic quality, just make sure you get the CANBUS bulbs or chances are your BMW will chirp at you. Picture 1: the funky pair of pliers ONE MORE THING: the rear fog bulbs are on the same bracket as the reverse lights on the e90 LCI, and it is a H21W bulb (which seems to be the reverse bulb on the E9x non-LCI) so now my new mission is to find an absurdly bright CANBUS LED that will fit that slot. I'm looking back in the thread, and my bulb mount is different than the dude with the 335IS (e92) and the other guy who said he couldn't get the lights out of his 335i (e92), so I'm thinking the mounts may be different on the e90 than on the e92. Can anyone else confirm this by taking a picture of their e92 reverse holder? I'll take pics of the e90 bulb holder tonight.

Won't you just blind the shite out of other drivers and be liable for any major motor vehicle accident within a 500 foot radius if it's too bright?
