How to clean Fikse aluminum wheels with no clear coat?
I bought these wheels off of a friend and they have some brake dust in crevises that I just cannot get out. Tried using clay bar and that helped to a small degree but, not worth the effort. I also used Optimum Metal Polish to try and polish it out with the mothers wheel polisher (yellow cone). I'm stumped....

Revival from the dead bump....still experience this issue with these wheels. I've tried steel wool with some degree of success but, regular maintenance on these wheels is near impossible.

Have you tried Sonax Full Effect? That crap simply dissolves brake dust!! (This assumes it is safe on those wheel, which I think it is)

At this point if you've tried claybar and steel wool with minor success, you may be looking at a chemical helping you instead of all the scrubbing (maybe even being better for the wheel) or refinishing if whatever is on there "ate" into the wheel. Hope you can get it fixed safely. Ivan @ DI |

Thanks guys. Fikse recomends soap and cold water which is a joke. I have not tried any of those products yet but, I'm going to try the Sonax out. I'm going to be selling the Fikse's soon as one of them is bent and cracked and I have new wheels on the way.
