BMW Professional Stereo a bit pants?
Hi all, apologies for the negative nature of my first ever post but I figured here was the best place to ask. I dare say it's a common thread on here but I'm a little unhappy with the sound system in my newly aquired E92 M Sport.
It's the BMW professional head unit and to be honest I'm quite surprised at how poor the sound quality is, it just doesn't sound crisp enough. I've had a quick search through some threads on here and it seems to be a speaker issue? Or lack of tweeters? Also, I'm of the opinion that an aftermarket stereo kind of de-values the car somewhat but as I didn't opt for the bluetooth package I'm thinking this is the best way to go. You can get a half decent head unit for £200 with ipod connectivity and bluetooth for hands free. Anyone else done this and is it easy to do? There's also a few fascia surrounds on ebay but they look a little cheap... |

The head unit may say Professional but the base stereo sure as hell isn't. You aren't alone in thinking this.
ALPINE is a common OEM upgrade. See this thread. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=182752 It adds door tweeters and an amp in the boot. |

It also upgrades the front speakers as well.
