Question Which trunk lid spoiler looks best on E90?

Hey Fellas,

So I'm making my list of mods for my 335i black sapphire E90 and one thing I am mulling over is the M3 trunk lid spoiler. What are your thoughts on which spoiler looks best with a pre LCI E90? In your opinion, does it look better with the one on the rear window as well? Any pics of these on a black sapphire E90 would be great.

Also, anyone happy with the ones from JLevi, or should I go OEM?

Shanksh,

Sickem

M3 lip spoiler for me! Although with a black car you might like the BMW Performance Type 2 spoiler.

thanks for the suggestion! looks really nice but at $440 from Tischer and the fact that I have no other CF accents on my ride I think I might just stick with the M3 one. But keep the suggestions/pics coming!

M3 lip look cleanest.

A little CF doesn't hurt. You can always partially paint it to only show a little like the CSL trunk guys do.

Today I was walking up to my car from the rear and I thought "damn - M3 lip looks perfect." It's just the right amount of aggressiveness while remaining subtle. Like you said - type 2 is more expensive. You can get really good M3 rep spoiler + painted and save a few hundred bucks compared to that.

M3 for sure. OP, would you consider a CSL trunk? If you get the right one, it's a pretty subtle mod as well.

I say the same thing when I look in a mirror! But yeah that's the look I'm going for...I don't want to overdo it but just give my car a more aggressive look and set it apart from joe sh1thead with a bone stock E90!

Nah, that's probably more involved than I want to get...thanks for the input though!

I have the oem piece that goes along the trailing edge of the rear trunk lid. I think it looks better and covers the area which looks like it should have had one there to begin with.

M3 spoiler is nice but I dont like the way it just sits on top of the trunk lid on the E90.

OEM sedan spoiler gets my vote.

^^thanks. I like your car. When you get around to it I'd love to see a pic from the back or an angle shot. I'm leaning toward the M3 one as it is thinner and for some reason that does it for me. Having said that, your car looks great, especially those 197s!!! Thanks for the pic!

Those of you who have the M3 style - where did you get them? Happy with the quality?

JBSPEED did mine during his $99 sale for one week. It's painted by a bmw place in taiwan supposedly and the paint was flawless. Only thing with it is that the 3M tape is all single piece so it will be more difficult to put on than if it was the 3 piece way most here suggest.

Personally I'm waiting to buy blacklines before I put it on because I don't like it on my AW car with stock taillights.
