335i insurance
I'm sure this has come up before but wanted to share my renewal experience.
Had my renewal quote through from admiral last week for £1465! My initial thought was why the fuck had they bothered to waste the paper to send me such a ridiculous quote!! I've been on admiral for 6 months or so simply because my missus was on admiral so she got a multicar discount and also benefited from an additional years no claims bonus in only 5 months. Anyway having had a look around plenty of quotes coming in around the £600-£700 mark. Then last night I requested a quote from Adrian Flux and i received an email quoting £430. Much more like it I think!! Phoned up and paid this evening, job done! For reference I'm 27 and I've had my license 9 years with 7 years NCB. No accidents or claims, sp30 in 2008. 8k miles a year. £350 excess. How does this compare with you guys?

Admiral has been consistently cheapest for me for the last 6 years or so (since I got a car again, didn't run one for a few years before that).
I have 6 years no claims, no points and am 36. But I live in Central London which equates to apparently a high chance of theft and vandalism so my quotes for a 325 come in around the £8-900 mark from Admiral and starting closer to £1500 from everyone else. Add about £200 to that for 335 quotes that I had while looking for my car. For multicar they quote me the same to insure both cars as most other insurers quote me to insure just one of them. It's garaged in a secure car park with Big Brother levels of CCTV and entry/exit barriers and a patrol walking around it on a regular basis, and the square mile even has its own police force, but no matter what you tell the insurers they only really seem to care about the postcode. My motorbike insurance is even more preposterous, but so is the motorbike |

I always use a broker with good results.
Try A Plan-they are good. I had to claim after a theft and had no issues. However Chris Knott beat them by 10% this year! |
