Are we going to meet at Donington again? Or somewhere different?

Donnington is a 'bit south' (OK maybe Midlands) seeing as it was originally going to be a Northern meet!

Paul, I'd be grateful if you could record Carlos singing the 'new' version of Bohemian Rhapsody, courtesy of Paul (silverbmwz3)!

I'm not bothered what it takes to get him to do it- give him a Jelly Baby & tell him a 'specially developed' Procede is on it's way to him from our American friends, if that's what it takes!

Okay, but what about location for UK4? What's your thoughts?

Donington has been good for the last 3 meets, but anywhere different would be nice!

So, how about meeting up somewhere on the edge of the Peak District- Stratstone Chesterfield is in the local area?

We could even pick-up a tart in Bakewell for you, Paul!

Mate, its a 3 hour drive from London (my house anyway) which may put off quite a few people. At least Donington is only 2 - 2.5 hours which is bearable. I don't mind then driving further into the peak district in the afternoon, but to attract numbers we may have to bring the place of meet a little further south of Chesterfield. How far is it for you?

What does everyone else think?

Sounds like a suitable area to me

The Donington area seems to work for gathering loads of folks, but is perhaps a bit far south for the flat cap brigade

Chesterfield will be 2 - 2.5 hours for me, any further south than that will make it more problematic for me.

I'm guessing that it would also help to keep close to the M1 for the london contingent, but is there a preference for the northern lads to be nearer the M1 or M6?

Chesterfield is about 120 miles from my area, so it'll take a little over 2 hours, depending on traffic.

Paul, to be quite honest with you, I don't mind where the meet is, as long as members DO ACTUALLY TURN UP.

As you know, I was pretty  at the turnout for UK3, so I'd rather have the meet at a place I know members are definitely going to turn up to, than some other place that is just 'central'.

I'm quite happy for a 'stop over, like last time, as long as members stick to what they say. It was the 'hardcore' that managed it last time!
Call me a pessimist, but I don't expect things to be any different this time.

+1 on that Viv!

Given the distance (about 150miles / 2.5hours) it would have to be a stop over for me, just too long a day otherwise.

All are welcome, but PLEASE remember to PM someone if you have something come up and can't make it. People put time and effort into things like the numberplate covers for the photos, nametags and to avoid those who do turn up waiting around like dummies for those who aren't going to show.

Come along and have a great day.... Viv's bark is worse than his bite!

Can we do Donington again then, its 2.5 hours for the London crew. We will organise a convoy up. Stop over is a good idea too plus a curry of course to maintain tradition! We can always go for a nice drive into the peak district during the afternoon and perhaps another on Sunday morning...

British Superbikes are on on the 21st to 23rd. Probably quiter on Saturday as it's only qualifying, but still probably not the best day to go to Donington.

edit: beaten to it!
