Negotiating Lease Buyout Possible?

Hello,

Has anyone successfully re-negotiated their lease buy out price?

I have a 09' 328xi with only 14K on the odometer. The buyout price is 28K plus NY State Tax pushes it just over 30K.

Just wondering if it is even worth trying to talk the price down.

Thanks for any feedback.

Yes they are negotiable ..... the dealer would much sooner make a sale than get a car back. It will likely go to auction anyway.

What is the KBB for your car?

14K ... did you drive around the block once a week or what!?

KBB currently has my car valued at 26K as a trade in value. 29K as a private sale. Only have 14K cause I stopped going to Atlantic City .

Tried calling BMW Financial yesterday and they won't budge they said try your dealership.

Do you negotiate with BMW financial, or the selling dealership?

I called BMW Financial first and they wouldn't budge even after I kept nagging to them about it. My next call after Christmas is the dealership and see if I can knock off 2k from the contracted price. My gut feeling is they won't budge either with the low mileage but you never know. Maybe I'll get a late Christmas gift.

I got 3k off from my dealer back in 2007. Ended up buying the car.

I just leased a 2011 328i and the dealer bought my 09 328i from BMWFS. Lease was to end in March 12. I was over miles by 3k so I was very happy to get rid of it. If your lease ends by 4/30, you shouldn't have any problem at all getting them to buy it from BMWFS if you are going to lease another.
