Replacement wiper blades?

Anyone know where you can get just the inserts? If not, are the Boesch blades any good?

I haven't found any aftermarket that fit correctly. Bosch is OK and can work. Stay away from Rain-X. At least in my experience they tend to streak. I just go with OEM. Only a few more $$ and they tend to last the longest.

Costsco had Goodyear wiper blades compatible with our E9x's on sale for $4 or $5 each. They had bins full of them -- just have to check the guide on the bin to see which size is compatible with your car.

If you have a Costco membership, call your local store to see if they're still running the promotion. I assume they are because their website mentions it:

Stealership for $66 a pair.

Although they do last for 4 years.

I've heard OEM fits, others do not. There is a distinction on production month for E92's, 2 different part #'s depending. I think I paid $45 at the dealer, can't remember. I did feel it was high for wipers, but wth they should fit, don't feel it's worth it to "save" and put the wrong size on....

Here we go again... There are no inserts available as the little "wing" is actually part of the rubber extrusion.

Valeo Ultimate are the same as stock for earlier cars. BMW changed OEM supplier sometime around 2010-2011; not sure who the newer blades are made by.

Since I replaced the blades on my car (2009) with Valeo Ultimate - which work fine BTW - I've seen that PIAA has released a "Silencio X-TRM" silicone wiper blade that supposedly fits; I have not tried it, but based on my previous experiences with PIAA wiper blades if I were buying new blades today I would try them.

Either should be less expensive than buying from the dealer; the Valeo blades are the exact same as stock while the PIAA are probably better/longer lasting. Occasionally Tire Rack will have a sale on the Valeo Ultimate, worth keeping an eye out for them.

Edit: I found an old thread where it was suggested that the Bosch Icon were the same as the newer style blades. The difference is in the "wing," on the Valeo it is offset to one side of the blade while with the Bosch it is in the middle. So the appropriate cover for the end of the wiper arm needs to be used.

I got my BMW OEM set for $46.64, seems like at least at amazon Valeo costs more. Is there some discount source for valeos?

Just inserts? Pretty sure even the very early E90's came with EVO wipers and I would only use originally supplied SWF.

I switched to these a few months back and they are 10x better than the factory blades. I had the blades changed at the dealer every time I took it in and always had issues with the passenger side not contacting the windshield correctly. These work great!

Get Bosch 19 OE and Bosh 24 OE, they fit, I just installed yesterday and tried this morning. They work great, no streaks. I tried rain x last time, they fit, but streaked out of the box...

That's s good price. However I got a pair of the Valeo's from eBay about 4 months ago for $35. They are exact same figment of BMW originals that I took out.

The only thing I don't like about them is if it's raining for a long time and they run for a while they start releasing rubber residue at the stop points and start squeaking. once I wash the car and clean them they are fine.

I never use my wiper blades because they bog down my engine. When they're running my car has like zero performance
