Thumbs up Helix FMIC is in...

Trust me, anyone considering this, go for it

they even have a group buy right now, definitely take them up on the lower price

They also know what they're doing as far as installs... the neighborhood looks a little rough at first (everything's broken down and there's a memorial for a murder victim right across the street) but it's really no problem at all... install was fast and the intercooler fit in PERFECTLY (very tight as per design)

I didn't notice anything until I got out of Philly... as soon as I got on the highway it pulled ALOT (noticeably) harder

4000rpm-6500pm goes by faster, and at 100mph I was pulling harder than ever

Wasn't that bad of a drive either (120mi each way)... I don't know how hotrod drives 800 miles once a month... that's just crazy

whats the deal with PA drivers? I was on i95 for 20 minutes max and saw 3 accidents

Yup, the group buy is a steal. If they get at least 15 people it will be $799! That's as cheap as a used one.

I think an upgrade FMIC is one of the best mods you can do for improved performance with no negative impact in engine longevity. I like feeding my engine nice cool air!

The group buy is for a new production batch which is slightly narrower and should fit all 335's without cutting. I believe there were a few cases where trimming was required with the previous generation (which is what sd390r bought).

Yeah, according to eric@helix the new/old intercoolers have the same exact performance specs, the new one just fits a little bit easier

it IS possible to get the old one in without cutting, however its a 2 person job and a big hassle, you only have to cut one piece which basically does nothing

however eric personally installed mine and i'm really happy with the results... it fits like a glove... REAL tight, but that's how it was designed

install took maybe 2 hours? I bet he could do it in 1 without talking/distractions/etc

you guys won't be disappointed... in my HONEST opinion this is really the best FMIC available for the 335.... if I didn't think so I wouldn't have bought it

i had to do some minor trimming on my e92, it would have fitted anyway but not perfectly so my shop decided to trim a bit .
i got mine in november i think.

Glad you're liking the intercooler Steve! Crazy accident in that pic, hope they're all fine.
It'll be a better neighborhood next time you stop in the new shop

Ralph, we are closing in on 40 units in the FMIC Group-Buy. I think you should talk to the guys and give us one more price drop for 40

I am sure EVERYONE would greatly appreciate it and there are a few people on the edge of purchasing waiting for one more drop!

Take care

Such an awesome deal Helix has going. I noticed a considerable difference when I had my Spearco installed (pulled harder on open hiways). Anyway whoever is still considering this GB they should be all over this ASAP. Especially in regards to the newer redisgned version
