335xi 6MT Transmission....Big Sucker !

If anyone is interested in knowing what your 335xi huge tranny looks like, take a look!!

Just replaced the original clutch and flywheel at 120K with Spec Stage 2+ and Billet Steel FW, replaced rear main seal (actually was leaking a little), front differential oil seal (was leaking a lot), front and rear diff fluids, transfer case fluid and tranny fluid.

Have you had the chance to drive on the clutch yet? Thoughts?

Front Differential Leaking....

Another delay during the clutch job........had many delays...

This delay was the front differential was leaking quite badly.

I got lucky and drove an hour round trip to BMW of Newport (RI) and they acatually had the part. The parts guy said this is a common part...guess I'm not the only one with a leak, however I noticed a little leak about 40,000 miles ago when I changed my fluids.

About 20 miles......still breaking it in. Engages really close to the floor right now, but anticipated that from other posts. Give me a few days to get it feeling better and I will post.

No results yet.....seriously, the clutch is 20 miles old...it will take a while to smooth out and the pedal will adjust. I am told by others with the same clutch that the clutch will start to grab in the middle, very close to stock feel.

The 550 ft/lb pressure plate takes a little effort to push...LOL
