I didn't bother; to be honest I simply don't have the time at the moment, both dealerships are in excess of 25 miles each way.

But I do have a plan!

I've got a cover missing too, just dropped off today, it's not even close to freezing and my washer fluid is strong stuff.

£10 for the part from a local company, just needs painting.
Think i'll pull the fuse on the washers, it's the only way round this shitty design.

My off side(driver's side) came off this morning. Where did you get yours from? My E92 is on a 57plate and it's out of warranty. £10 is a good price. Don't want to pay a fortune for them if they are prone to coming off

Hi Dr. Dave..thank you for your reply. I am not sure mate. It's a bit dark, will have to have a look at it in the morning. Do you have to pull the nozle out to see if the jet is still in?

Thats the part i got (drivers side cover), phone the number on the left and tell them you used the website for a 10% discount.

It's a primed part so you need to get yourself some paint from halfords.

Guys will this happen to the LCI model too? I know it will really make me to have two holes in the bumper! Im thinking of de activating the headlamp wash all together the day Im picking up the car.

Is there actually any need to wash the headlamp?

Not only is it useless, it also wastes washer fluid and leaves streams of water along the front of your car.

I think I will give the dealer a call...

I have got a lot to think about already before I even pick the car up, don't need this to worried about everytime I wash my windscreen!

Took mine round to BMW Chesterfield...found out that my cover was nicked- not fallen off You could still see part of the clip attached to the jet. Was quoted £9.75 for the plastic cover(primed)..the service advisor wasn't sure how much it will set me back to have it colour coded/painted and fitted. Think i will get one of my mates to do it.

Buy some paint and do it yourself? Its not like you're spraying a panel on a really noticeable part of the car.

Or how about wrap the primed covers with carbon fiber wrap.
I was thinking of doing this as I have lost one too and have some 3M Di Noc Carbon Wrap left over from doing the interior trim.

These would be a doddle to wrap and could always be painted later.

What do you think these would look like. I reckon on black would look sweet, but mines is blue, so not so sure.

Things always go tits up whenever i attempt any DIY. Want it to match the other side. Don't want the colour to start peeling after 6 months. A perfect job will involve a layer of lacquer and then oven baked

I agree with Dave...the headlight washer covers have to be colour coded with the bumper..otherwise they will look out of place. It's the same for those with black bumper

They are unsurprisingly on back order, mine took 5 weeks.

A couple of weeks ago I noticed one of mine was missing and just thought it had been stolen.
I went to Stratstone and ordered another cap and when it came and tried to fit it I realised that the nozzle was missing as there was nothing to attach it to.
I went back and ordered the nozzle and the parts guy didn't say a word about it happening before
I'll be going there in the morning as my warranty is up on the 1st of March and they are trying to persuade me to extend it.
Don't bother buying the pint in Halfrauds as their version of Sparkling Graphite does not match.
The guy who has done paint for me before says he can paint it for £25, I wonder what they will say at Stratstone in the morning?

Don't do this.

MOT fail now - lens cleaners have to be installed and must work if you have xenon lighting in the UK.
