Arrow Just did a muffler delete! Feel like I may have some spool lag?

Hey guys, maybe this is just in my head, but is there any way that a muffler delete could cause some lag in spool time?
I know that when I had done the aFe intake to my car I noticed a slight delay. Or maybe that was in my head too, but I felt that it was a bit of a lag, and maybe a bit of help up top.

Oh and by the way, besides the "lag that I may or may not have, the delete was money well spent. Not as loud as I thought it would be which is good. Deep and gurgly and absolutely love it.

I just installed a performance muffler on my 535. It's a dual/quad set up.
The guy used a Camaro muffler which has an outlet on each end and he bent a pipe around to the passengers side.
The thing is loud and drones like a bitch but I also noticed that the throttle response has changed. It seems to take longer to get that surge of power from the extra boost. The power would come on with very little throttle and now you have to lean into the gas alot more.
Also seems like the car is harder on gas.
It just feels different. I liked it better before and I will probably change back to the stock exhaust.
I ordered this thing called a CC Insert. It's a baffle that slips into the exhaust pipe just before the muffler. It's supposed to reduce the drone and probably the flow as well. Might be a good thing.

I see, interesting point taken here.
Or maybe it's time for a tune to make it more AMG like.

If you don't mind me asking, what "plugging" are we talking about?

No muffler = less backpressure.
Therefore the ecu needs o adapt to the new backpressure levels an the lag will leave ans be less than before!
