Is this for real?? These are a 1/3 of what other bbks go for and they complete the look. I'd pull the trigger in a heart beat just to complete the look of the car. Where'd you pick your set up at? Any tricks on the install? Any issues? More pics would be nice too.

And just read you got a 325, probably won't work for the 335 =\

I am not sure about 335 but yes, 325xi fits no problem both front and rear. Just installed them yesterday and no issues for now. Need about 200km to break in so will keep updated. Btw. Im from Europe so got them here

Edit: All function are still working including auto hold and computer estimate, new pics coming soon..

Please share pictures. And let us know was it new bracket (where did you get it?) or you just shaved the metal to fit the original bracket.

I have not been driving the car since but as soon as I wash it I will post more pics.. My car mechanic told me that he can make them fit and he did it, as you can see it fits without any problems even tough I was researching a lot on this issue and came to conclusion that rear wont fit...

If you are interested I can ask what did he do with the bracket and let you know

This is exactly what I was asking lad.

However, I already now can say with 99,99% that on the front your mechanic shaved metal from the knuckle in order for the bracket to fit. I wouldnt think that he designed new bracket from scratch. If he shaved metal from the bracket itself then you have a problem, because bracket it this place becomes too thin and can brake, this is dangerous.

I was hoping someone finally did design new bracket. I guess I will have to do it myself.

He has fitted it to many XIs already and had no problems at all... Is this bracket only problematic for XIs or non XI also has that metal? By any chance do you know why is it different?

Sure, in attached pics you could see how he did it.

Original bracket that goes with Performance BBK will not fit the XI knuckle, therefore people just cut away (shave) some metal to stick it in. Thats why BMW officialy do not offer Performance BBK for XI cars.

I was wondering if your mechanic whent the same way or he actually designed and manufactured new bracket that would allow the mounting without cutting the knuckle. Now it is clear that your mechanic went the "easy way"

By the way I will be designing new bracket to fit XI "bolt on", because I do not want to cut the knuckle. Anyone interested to buy the new bracket?

Thank you for the pics, now I get why BMW originally said it wont fit. As you said my car mechanic probably went the easy way but I dont mind shaving the metal on knuckle as long as everything functions properly. Is there any reason beside you wanting to keep stock knuckle why you dont wanna shave it? In any case I will ask my car mechanic what exactly did he do, in case he found the bracket that would fit or custom made it, I can ask for the price n ship it to u if u like. Will let you and all know what exactly did he do and how did he make rear hand brake work..

If there is a solution with custom made bracket, I would buy a set of brackets!

I want to make BBK a reversable back to stock brakes if needed. And besides, I dont like the idea cutting steel, prefer "perfect fit".

I'd be interested in a custom bracket. Replacing the brake calipers is one of the first things on my list and I would love to stick with the BMW performance brakes.

Yo guys, so I found the guy who has the capacity and design knowledge + experience, he could design & manufacture the bracket. He checked everything and we understood that the best way is to machine the original Performance bracket. It is made from cast steel, very tough, no impact on rigidity. I went already few thousand kliks on it, no problem.

Anyways, just for the sake of indication the price for custom pair of brackets would be around 300 USD.

Thanks Yury, I will give them a call
Yes I did contact my local BMW dealer and they said its in back order and don't know when will be back in stock. Besides buy parts in Canada is pretty expensive so I prefer source them offshore
