find a US paint shop that near the border. have the dealer ship it there after you buy and get it mounted in the US. leave your oem kit there and pick it up piece by piece so you dont get charged.

Buy it from the States then. And Canada sucks because you can get cheaper prices on parts in the US?

Tischer charges 855 USD for the whole kit, so it's not THAT bad with the current exchange rate.
You do need to find a good body shop to paint and install, which in my case, costs more than the actual kit, but the result is great.

I would ask MWDesign to see if they can do a good deal for you.
Or...ask Tokion @ DukeDynamics to see how much they are selling their E90 kit... Just a thought.. |

I would advise against buying the Duke kit, I've seen it in person, it's poorly made. It would take the bodyshop a hell of a time to prep it in comparison to the OEM kit

hmm, no offense to me? none taken, because I agree with you.
I've seen the Duke kit in person, it's nothing to write home about, and yeah, it is made in China. The body shop owner had to do a lot of prep work on the bumper that wouldn't need be done on the OEM PUR kit exactly you get what you paid for, but with the opportunity for us to get the OEM Mtech kit (E90) for 850 + shipping from Tischer, that's a damn steal compare to the Duke kit Quote:

Has anyone actually purchased the $850 price from Tischer? I'd like to purchase this kit as well, athough I need to find a body shop that can paint and install it locally first...

$855 + shipping (about $200) + customs, it came out to about $1300 CAD, and depending on which body shop you use, you can get it done for not much money. It's cheaper now with the exchange rate. The kit from Tischer is a FULL kit, so everything will fit perfectly. Any of the dealers will be able to get it installed for you properly. I got mine installed at Budd's Body shop. They did a fantastic job matching the paint. I know Parkview installed quite a few kits as well, including the E90 335i (They have one at the dealer awhile back)

There are 2 kits. There is the M-Aero kit (available from the US from Tischer etc.) and the there is the M-Tech kit not available in the US. MWDesign can source the M-Tech kit. It's a little more than the Aero kit, but looks nicer IMO.

Just for the record, the M-tech kit is about twice as expensive as the M Aero kit, and requires additional parts (such as new foglights) so the installation would be more expensive.
