I had a rear shock leaking and one front was curved from 120k km of potholes in montreal (spring has been deformed because of this). Will post pictures in a few days when it has settled a bit more. I made the shop ajust them at 50% stiffness and yet it feels more planted and stiff it's not as harsh as the stock suspension ! Still I feel like I should've gone with H&R for a lower stance but i'm still happy considering I will be running this setup 4 seasons !

Can you post pics please? I am thinking of going with the same setup for my DD 2011 335xi.

So I am a little confused. Did you order the Eibach Prokit for the 335i or 335xi? Your sig says "i". but earlier you said you were waiting for the "x" springs...

How about the Konis? You have to specify xDrive for the Koni Yellows, correct?
I plan on ordering them and do the work with my friend who has a lot more tools than I do

I am a little skeptical about the Koni Yellows. I have owned 3 sets, 2 on my Integra GSR and 1 on my Civic (this is between 2002 and 2008). They don't seem to last. With all 3 Koni yellow sets the ride started deteriorating after about 10K mi. and after 20-25k mi. I just had to replace them. I had Koni custom valve one of the sets for my Integra, but they started leaking 6-7k mi. later and Koni would not guarantee them. I always thought Bilstein were more reliable, but I am reading mixed reviews about them too.
What to do...? This modding stuff is just a continuous money pit

Harry

Edit: Give your springs and shocks a couple of weeks to settle. Your ride will get lower (not too low I hope). Please send me some pics of your e92 at vtecharry@yahoo.com Thanks!

The Eibach prokit is for i model (no part number for xi except in europe not available here) but springs for i and xi are pretty much the same and they fit perfect (some people already had confirmed that here).

For the Koni you do have to order xi specific shocks as from my understanding they are different (shorter ? different angle ?) to the i spring to clear all the awd component in the front.

From my gathering of information between bilstein and eibach, a lot more people directed me to koni instead of bilstein due to quality of the shock and quality of the handling. Also no official retailer of bilstein close to me so warranty replacement would be a PITA. My local retailer which works exclusively on euro cars directed me to koni as well with many car in the area (mostly i cars) running same shocks. I've seen cars in my area with koni yellow and H&R springs doing track event almost every weeks without issues (not planning on doing too much tracktime myself).

For the car settling, that's why I was waiting to post pictures as my civic (si 2008 I had prior to this car) settled in about 1-2 weeks where it got a bit lower than after install.

Here are pictures 24h after install on 18 inches wheels. There is still a gap in front but mine at least had almost 4 fingers gap in front and now its reduced to a little more than 1 1/2 which is still a huge improvement (especially on handling) and wont be too much of a snowplow with canadian winters. Also not too much rake with this setup as it is now !

Looks good, thanks!

Will you be doing a wheel alignment after 2 weeks? I highly recommend it. I am curious if the camber will be way out in the rear, and will require a camber kit...

Alignment already done and was pretty much in spec. Couldnt wait 2 weeks for alignment due to bad experience in the past with waiting for alignment (but thats just me). Also last alignment was done almost 2 years ago and was done when I was first told I had a shock starting to get curved (cannot find the exact english term lol)
