Safe ZSP Spring for a 328 Xdrive?
I have a 2011 E90 328 Xdrive.
Goal is minimal drop. Was thinking a D5 front, and D4 rear ZSP Spring setup with KONI FSD? I don't care about dropping the car, it's really just to soften the pothole explosions on this car. |

Are you still on runflats tires? That would be the first step toward your goal.

I figured on the Koni FSD first, and if I want more (or to simply refresh the suspension a bit) replacing the subframe bushings next. As it is, I figure the FSDs would soften the pothole slams and still allow for the handling I'm used to. The big question is whether D5 front and D4 rear would be the proper application for a manual 328 Xdrive. (I think that's what a 330i had and guessed that'd be the closest safe spring rate for a 328 Xdrive) |

Do I gather it right the 328ix (US specs) moreless equals the 330ix (EU specs)?
If so, as my ODO reads actually some 100k miles (160kilo km) I am at the similar crossroad at the moment... aiming the same (min drop, stiffer, but daily acceptable chassis), I will be giving in soon KW V1 (obviously set to min mandatory drop of 15mm=5/8") + replacing all bushings (OEM BMW) on both front and rear axles, subframes, replacing front arms (OEM BMW again) As a bonus the UUC stiffer swaybars will go in (provided they will meet their promises and deliver... been waiting/urging them since August to no avail) |

Not sure about EU specs, but I know that the US spec 330i Xdrive has the same engine as my 328i Xdrive except the 330i has a better manifold enabling a bit more horsepower/torque. I figured the weight specs would be relatively close.

Yea the car is a tad bit firmer around turns, and it gets rid of most of the xdrive gap. Conservative drop, yet noticeable.
