We should do something since the weather is nice. I was gone for the summer so I missed all the good stuff. Anyway, I would be down.

I'm in. Andrew, I would like to talk about the meth kit. Did/do you do suspension work? I would like to get sway bars and stiffer springs, and maybe lower the car 2 cm or so. (I do have an xi.)

On a side note, I left the Jeep home and drove the stock (summer) 18" Bridgestone Potenzas today to work in the snow. (I only have a 4 mile commute, I normally even bike.) What a hoot, massive understeer and little traction. In this case 4 wheel drive I noticed can get you in trouble, as it can give you a false sense of security, as everyone (should)P know that even 2 wheel drive cars still have 4 wheel braking. Those Potenzas suuuucccckkk in matted/packed snow, I had to back up a foot or two on several occasions in order to find traction. I had to initiate turns very slowly and thus sooner than normal, not to mention I had to drive like grandma, but I don't have to call my insurance company.

They are summer tires. What did you expect? Get yourself some winter tires or leave the car parked and take the jeep. End of discussion. I can take out my RWD and its better then anything I have owned because I have the proper winter tires on it.

Dackz, I didn't mean to complain, though now I see that I came across that way. I just meant to give the forum an amusing anecdote.

I saw an orange Caddy CTS with 20" chomed wheels and wearing summer slicks today. Texas plate, the guy was embarrassed, he couldn't get the car going let alone keep it straight. It was funny but dangerous at the same time. I hope no one gets hurt when he gets that thing going.

Muti Club All Euro GTG - January 31, 2010 - Hampden Ave. + I-25, Denver

This is one coming up that I may go to. Its put on by VWVortex, but there is usually a good mix of cars there...however its hit or miss. I have been there and there have been 50+ cars, and other times only 5. Sid has been to one of these before.

"Start off the New Decade, the 10's!"

The first large all-euro GTG of 2010 will be on Sunday, January 31st, 2010 @ 1:00pm.
Time to start fresh and why not kick it off with your fellow CO euro enthusiasts and friends!

Hampden TownePlace Suites
[Hampden Ave. + I-25]

Directions:
- I-25 to Hampden Ave

PLEASE come with a positive attitude; many are meeting each other for the first time.
We don't anyone to crash the fun in the first part of the year... that's never good!

NOTE There will be no reservations set; this will be a "free-for-all" event.
Meet, greet, eat, walk, converse, trouble-shoot, shoot pics, pick-up performance hints, whatever...

NOTE: Also, there will be a few OBDII VAG-COMs and other scanners being brought if you need a scan. Just ask and we'd be glad to help fellow owners out.

Questions, concerns, comments? Feel free to IM me!
People usually arrive and meet and greet; enjoying the weather and good company.
Please post if your going; I'll do my best to keep track and update a list as it formulates.

[Public Service Annoucement]
PLEASE READ ALL DETAILS; Thanks!

* I want to be very crystal clear on this: Do not, and I repeat, DO NOT burnout, speed, or create careless driving acts in your vehicles while in area.
To avoid getting the boot please ABSOLUTELY NO burnouts, speeding, or careless acts in our vehicles; clear?

WARNING: If you do something STUPID in your vehicle on the premises of the area, I WILL have NO problem grabbing your license plate, VIN, your name, any and all personal physical and vehicle description and any other valid info and give it to the authorities so that you are properly processed for fines / tickets / etc.

Cool. Depending in the weather, I might show up to this one.
