damn. So I just picked up the Cobb for $500, and wow. The car feels like something else. I kinda regret waiting 1 year to do this mod.

only had a 20 min backroad drive home from SacState so far. can't wait to take it out on the freeway.

it definitely feels quicker and more powerful.

well worth the price considering it showed a bunch of codes which I need to look into before warranty ends and CPO takes over next month.

Any idea on these.
  1. P2AAF
  2. P2F6C
  3. P29F3
  4. H2ADO (maybe H2AD0)
  5. H2AAF
  6. H2F9E
  7. H2FCA
  8. H2FDA

well crap. i guess i have to uninstall the AP and should update it to the current version. then reinstall and run it to see if the codes come back.

problem is that these codes were there before the cobb install. i cleared and rescanned for them and then only the 29F3 was there.

Not hard at all and for a few bucks hell I'll install it for you in about half an hr including placing your USB in your glove box.. The ease of use associated with the JB4 is unmatched.. Nothing needs to be done when you add mods, the car will learn it all on its own.

Oops just noticed you grabbed the cobb.

heard all good things about the Cobb and couldn't pass up the price I paid for it. Can always sell down the road and go to JB4 but not now.

  1. P2AAF -- common code, nothing to worry about
  2. P2F6C -- you unplugged the connector in the trunk so it is throwing that code, hint golf tee mod
  3. P29F3 - possible LPFP sensor, clear it and so some WOT and see if it comes back
  4. H2ADO (maybe H2AD0) -- gear control, reset it and see if this will come back
  5. H2AAF -- common code, nothing to worry
  6. H2F9E -- low on oil, or oil senor faulty
  7. H2FCA -- nothing to worry
  8. H2FDA -- nothing to worry

Yea after I cleared but before I started driving, P29F3 was the only code that was back. I'd imagine fuel and golf tee would come as well.

Correct. This is my first performance mod. Running S1 sport as of the moment. Don't really think I will ever run the Drive, unless my gas mileage really takes a hit. I will remember to Valet it if I ever decide to Valet, which is unlikely.

Do you guys run stock or linear throttle on it? What are the pros and cons of each?

i think most of us here are running PTF custom tune, so it is neither Stock nor Linear throttle. it is custom tailored to our liking.

the reason for me asking (sorry to beat around the bush) When i ran S1 Sport i was getting some noisy timing corrections. Which I cleaned up with 3 gallons of E85 pump. But then I ran S1 Agg. Really harkirath, you may likes.

I like ST with OTS, my pro tune I went with a LT approach.

here is a good graph... performance will vary by vehicle. Deltal's showing 20% E85 pump, +- 3 Gallons of E85 Pump.

Personally I tried but will not run e85 no more. I don't always have $1000 to replace all injectors and that is no fun. I know Theresa no hard prove but to me e85 somehow will ruin our fueling system. my injectors blew when I switched from e85 back to full 91.
