to update or not to update

So I am pre 29.2 with no issues running strong. Warranty is coming up later this year.
I know GIAC flash recommends latest software update. With warranty up, I guess tuner codes
Aren't relevant.
I imagine the update out of warranty would be costly.
Some will say if it aint broke don't fix.
Any other insights would be appreciated?

Heard the newest software has alot of trick up their sleeves with respect to tuning

New ISTAs are way better then pre 29.2 ones. I've had the 25.4 for 2 years then upgraded to run GIAC. Nothing but good! Find my review about it.

Yeah i might update mine as well but mostly to fix some issues with the sound/ipod connection, weird window operations etc.
