It's the usual done thing for a passenger to arrive in the morning and pay £20 for a day rider wristband that allows them circuit access in any vehicle they can blag a ride in.

If you just want to give them a few laps we will sort out a deal on the day.

Does anyone know if there is any availability on this event?

I have an option for a last minute holiday from work on this day.

I have emailed sykehouse@hotmail.com.

Is there any contact numbers for the organisers? Thanks

Yep - full up to the top, plus several on the waiting list.

It's a bad reflection on me if I have availability at this stage - I work hard to close the book a month ahead of the event.

Like I say we have spaces at Donington in Sept and Oulton in Nov.

Thanks for asking though.

Yes, it surprised me how good it was. Although it was less nimble than my M3, the more I drove it the better I thought it was and it coped very well with lap after lap...even the brakes held up! Down the straights it was pretty monstrous and quite a lot quicker than I expected it to be.

Compared to Mikes M3?? He said there was very little in it down the straight but on the one occasion that I followed him I could do nothing but just about keep up (although I reckon he wasn't trying!) - he was also a far better driver than me!

Mike - what do you reckon?

Agreed, apart from maybe Mikes car there was no road car to touch it down the straight - even a remapped and RPI scooped M5 didn't have the legs on it (indeed, it appeared to hold me up on a couple of straights but that can't be right as my driving is shite)

Now, a supercharged M6....that's the future!

Palmball, don`t put yourself down. The M6 is an intimidating car to really push and capable of more than most people realise, you were definately getting quicker and quicker as the day progressed and your confidence grew, thats all that matters.

It`s surprising how much quicker the M6 is to the M5 when on paper they`re very close, I can walk away from an M5 but I`m only slightly quicker than an M6. Both mine and the V10 will top out at 206/207 mph but I only have 6 gears compared to 7 giving the V10 an advantage through shorter gearing.
