Is your 135i AT or MT Justin?

I would like to see what kind of path you need to take to strengthen that AT gearbox with those power level!

Also we would need wider tyres for more grip i would say

Hey mate,

I have a 6 speed MT.

As such I am hoping we will not have any issues with the ZF gearbox, the same cannot be said for clutches as we are onto our third and I believe final, non-OE set up.

Speaking of wider tyres and grip, these should do the job, at least when you are at the drag strip.

Thanks mate.

The next substantial jump in power output for our 135i, will come as a result of the Garrett GT2860R-5 conversion.

There is still some power left on the table with the RB turbos, but I suspect it will be no more than 10 rwkW, perhaps 15 at the very most.

FYI,

our last tuning session saw our little 1'er dyno up at exactly 349.9 rwkW, I kid you not, what a f'n tease.

I will have to post up the dyno graph when I get a chance.

Sure,

we could no doubt crack the 350 mark with another 1-2 psi of boost, but our testing thus far suggests as nice of an upgrade as the RB turbos are, they are out of their efficiency range at 20 psi above 5,500 rpm.

I would rather look after the RB's and not push them too hard, so I can sell them in the future, to help fund our Garrett twin -5 conversion.

Well the Nashin big na GIANT brake kit arrived on Friday
Front is 380mm rear is 345mm Justin has some nice pictures to post.
The quality of these brakes is second to none this is not some cheap knock off crap. Nashin has been in the performance brake business for many years
Advan has many kits in circulation most are fitted Nissan GTR Skylines these cars are used for motor sport, Nashin have proved to be very very durable in fact one of our customers has gone the Nashin way after removing the AP system from his car due to rotor and pad cost.

Trust me i will not put rubbish / crap parts on my car this brake system is friggin fantastic
Waite till you see it, you will be shocked at the price Advan are going to let you have these kits for.
A nice bonus all our Nashin kits have a two year warranty against faulty workmanship and we will supply a spear set of brake pads for the front and rear for FREE. When you purchases a complete front and rear system.

I've seen the smaller ones at advan and they have the strangest pattern on the disks I have ever seen. But from what I hear about cross drilled rotors I wouldn't touch then and Pete is a trust worthy ( if sometimes grumpy old shit) chap so I'd be happy to give them a go.

Hi all
As you know we used this brake system at the recent track day, there was no time for testing as the system was fitted the day before the event.
I can say that they are totally fantastic i have a progressive feel pedal pressure
the brakes are not sudden with light pressure so are great for you drive to work. But lean on the brake peddle and you are in for a treat lap after lap there is no brake fade. When i used this car at the creek i flogged it and flogged it i used drive so did not use any engine braking just totally relied on the brakes to pull up the car. I highly recommend this brake set up for any 335 or 135 with 19" wheels, just fantastic

Work has been a bit slow so had some time to play around with a air box cover for the AFE twin over the top filter system.
We know this system makes the most power of any inlet system, but i want a top for it with a new cold air inlet.
This is how the step 1 proto looks so far, it takes about 4 steps and many hours before its complete. it will be a fiberglass cover
