Trying to find good place near East Hartford CT

Hey fellas. Long story short I recently got a job offer in East Hartford Connecticut. I was hoping if anyone knew of an apartment for rent or even places in Connecticut that safe, im trying to avoid unsafe places. I currently live in NY and East Hartford is about 2.5+ hours commute. I will be going to NY a lot, So I was mostly looking in places around Waterbury, Southington, New Britain, and Plainville. Any new suggestions will be much appreciated and if you guys think I should avoid any places please let me know. Thank You.

What about the Stamford or Greenwich area? Stamford is about 45 minutes from NYC but idk how far from hartford

Stamford is way too far. Its about a 1+ hour to get to east hartford.

Seymour or Deryby CT? Don't know much about either of those places though but that's where the shop I go to is located and driving through both seem like pretty nice towns.

Well none that i've been to really but I just glanced at a map near Hartford to see if any of the cities sounded familiar. I think waterbury, Avon, and Wallingford may be worth checking out? That's all I got. Hahah hopefully someone else can come and provide some insight.

I live and work in East Hartford. If you don’t mind me asking, where did you get the job?

Popular towns to rent in around here are Manchester and Vernon although they are a little in the opposite direction from the way you want to go. I think you are on the right track with the towns you already listed but personally I would suggest adding Newington to that list and removing New Britain and Waterbury.

I have a co-worker with a 3 family house in Bristol (each floor is 1 unit) that includes an individual, lockable, garage parking spot. If you are interested I can PM you his contact info.

try cromwell / middletown.

I believe there are a lot of good rental properties out there.

You can grab 691s to 84W (or 91s to 95s, you literally have your choice from that area) if you want to go to NY

and going to EH you should be able to take RT 3 up 91 and avoid traffic for ur daily commute.
