Spotted - A617 Rainworth

I keep seeing an e92 on/around the A617 Newark to Rainworth (or Rainworth to Newark if you're not as posh) in the mornings.

Number plate is a "special" one and includes the characters SSK.

I get the impression that the driver "spots" other BMW's, but neither of us have waved, yet

Anyone?

We should start waving to fellow E9x drivers, it could turn into a global craze...

Paul, leave the waving to the Land Rover brigade and bikers luv. Can you imagine waving to every E9x you see? There's loads of them around my way. One would end up with RSI or something

Lets FLASH

Yeah lets all start FLASHING at fellow E9X drivers a bit like truck drivers do.

........Your lights.......by the way, fot those of you of an exhibitionist nature.

I think this could catch on. It would have to be sharp short stroke of the stalk though, not a strobing mad flash - that may have other implications!

Imagine all the non E9X drivers thinking.......bloody BMW drivers, flashing and cutting everyone else up on the road. .....how wrong they would be

The only things I can think of are:

1) a lifesized Carlos cardboard cutout to site on the passengers seat. We all drive round with one in the car and thereby make ourselves instantly recognisable. If any non-e90post people ask "who the f**k is that ugly bloke", you can simply tell them that you nicked it from outside Blockbusters while you were out, last week.

or

2) a black hawk down style gaffer tape cross on the roof. However, this is perhaps not advisable in certain areas of Lincolnshire.

or

3) We invent a "on a flat and level surface" jesture to use as the other driver passes (similar to the "Close Encounters" hand gesture). This is my favourite, as it's very subtle. If you're in the car with the missus, and she asks, "Did you just wave at that other BMW, you internet saddo", you can easily get away with, "No. Cramp".

Very witty Cafe Racer.

Option 1 - Lifesize Carlos cardboard cut out - He would need a cushion to sit on so all can see. (ref to the thread on the racetrack last week)

Option 2 - This would be almost invisible

Option 3 - Not a bad idea - but all a bit secret code...ish

We need something more visible to all drivers so their continued confusion becomes childishly amusing to all E9X drivers.

How about blinking the hazzards twice?

It could snowball into a BMW recall for "eratic flashing of hazzard warning lights".lol

Anyone else got any ideas?

Mate - I ain't never seen you, loike. I don't think you're actually real, considering in mind you "allegedly" live 5 miles from me - how can I have not seen you?
Alright, so you haven't seen me either, if you want to be pedantic.

Maybe I am losing it. Maybe, logging on every 30 mins to find out the status of Carlos' bonnet chips is finally getting to me.

Anyway, I take it Mr SSk isn't a member?

Next time I see him, I'm going to wave. That'll freak the fecker out...

So where can I get my cardboard cutout Carlos? And does he count when I'm using the carpool lane in the mornings?
